How we check facts

What we check

All public statements by Donald Trump —
Truth Social posts, rally speeches, press
briefings, and interviews.

We check only specific verifiable claims:
numbers, statistics, historical facts,
policy outcomes.

We do not check opinions, predictions,
or personal attacks.

Verdicts

TRUE

Accurate and supported by data.

PARTIALLY TRUE

Contains accurate elements but missing important context or misleadingly framed.

DISTORTION

Based on real data but significantly misrepresented or exaggerated.

LIE

Factually incorrect and contradicted by authoritative sources.

Sources

Every fact-check cites at least two
independent sources. We prioritize
official government data: BLS, Census,
CBP, Federal Reserve, CRS, NOAA, EPA,
EIA, NATO official communications,
and peer-reviewed research.
